Day 12 - Dhampus to Phedi to Pokhara

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” - Dr. Seuss

Today we wake knowing it’s our last day on the trek. We only have a short distance to Phedi where we will get a taxi back to Pokhara. It’s another gorgeous day and I rise before the sun to set up my camera. I’m going to try and capture the sunrise on the mountain range. Unfortunately there are not to many clouds so the sunrise is not spectacular but, it’s still beautiful!

Today we hiked with a fellow trekker from the Netherlands, Dino. We spend most of the day chatting about how beautiful Nepal is. Also, discussing getting together in the future for another trek in Nepal. I like that idea, coming back and doing another trek.

This has been a fantastic trek and one Donna and I will cherish for the rest of our life’s. The beauty and degree of difficulty for this trek was surprising. Having done Annapurna Circuit and Everest bass Camp with the three passes, Kongma La, Chugyema La (Cho La), and Renjo La this ranks 2nd to me. My favorite trek was going over Renjo La and hiking down to Thame.

At the end of our trek, Ram, Tom, Donna & Govinda

Today’s hiking totals were 1 hr,45 min, 3.3 miles (5.3 Km).
Total for our entire trek was 80 miles (129 Km)

Peace and Love Tom & Donna
